i would like to make a suggestion to the moderators that maybe a twitter account be created. what are other peoples view on this

Do we really need Twitter for that - we can already do that here. It only means more places to look for things.

Yes I'd agree.

There are many ways now for people to post interesting sightings / photos on location direct to the board, rather than waiting until they get home.

Just my 2 cents worth

Twitter could b a useful tool, Example

How would you be able to post on the forum that the forum was down... If the forum was down? So theres no posts there taking up "space". Even when it returns, discussion is usually contained in one thread so I don't see the problem.

I think there is merit on state based transport observation tweets - not sure if it needs to be affiliated with Bus Australia though. Chances are if you can tweet from a mobile phone, you can also easily post on the ATDB.

ON TWITTER HUH?

IF the board goes down THEN an admin can post that the site is down.

Just because i used the QUOTE function DOES NOT mean that i meant on the board.

His was referring to the fact how you said if the board was down you'd post on twitter instead of ATDB.

And he was pointing out if the board was down, you wouldn't be able to post on it on here anyway, so posting on twitter when board is down, wouldn't mean an less posts here.
