What models do YOU want?
Hi everyone,
I have made this thread so the model making companies (Trux, Transitgraphics etc.) can get an idea of what their customers want.
First of all I would like to say thanks to Brett from Trux, because he actually talks to his customers.
I would like to see these models:
Hopkinsons Denning Decker - Trux already has a Denning Decker, so adding a new company wouldn't be to hard.
Mercedes 0C500LE CNG CB60 Evo II (STA - Corporate V2, TfNSW, Metrobus)
Volvo B7RLE CB80 (STA - TfNSW)
Thanks

MkII LEOPARD, 14.5 orana, low floor orana, and I know these will be produced in the long term as the manufactures have designed/pro type the models but to take the cake would be the MKVI/PMC 160 both in STA and private operators.

Re: What models do YOU want?
A lot centred on their OWN respective states. How about Australia-wide vehicles
Mercedes Benz O302 and/or O303 - Liveries ENDLESS
Remind me, have we seen a model in: Australian Pacific Tours livery yet
Bedford / Volvo / Hino with Ansair Styleliner body - once again ENDLESS
Austral Tourmaster and of course the Denning Landseer
As for City Buses, which once again occurred Australia-wide.
CAC Bedford which were made by Micro Models, Weico although not to the DETAIL that enthusiasts/collectors
prefer nowdays. And of course Weico (which were a model really) are unfortunately NO LONGER in business
Comair / Bedford - liveries ENDLESS
Each to their own, however, I think being the small market Australia is, we are fortunate to be getting what
we are currently getting. A lot of us DO NOT realise the expense that goes into each/every model to produce,
especially when there seems to be a tendancy to continually produce SYDNEY based models. Once again,
sellable market, but even I from Tassie enjoy purchasing SOME of the Sydney stuff (although not all). Although
we on this forum do not know IF producers LOOK at what we say, we DO KNOW Brett (GM from Trax) DOES, and
do appreciate HIS input as to the decisions made by HIS particular company.

Re: What models do YOU want?
In their government days, it seemed to be the Atlanteans that got the aoa, followed by the odd Mercedes mark IIds. The only Leopards I ever saw were with private operators after their life with the Government.wyth wrote:Im finding the Leyland Leopard very attractive.... was there any carrying any all over adverts????
One I recall had an ad with surfing labels like Quicksilver and Billabong, among others, plastered on it.
It was predominantly white. Not worth doing as a model in my opinion.

Re: What models do YOU want?
Hi all
Have read all of the above comments here and the good thing is that a few of the models mentioned are either on the list to be done by Trux, or have already begun the tooling process.
But, what about a luggage trailer? The big box trailers you see being towed behind a Denning etc. There's the luggage version and the camping version. If we did do them, would you buy them as a set with a bus, or would you want them as an individual model, and if so, how much would you pay for an individual model?

Re: What models do YOU want?
I forgot to mention that the Adelaide 3 door Worldmasters mostly had their third set of doors at the very rear filled in upon being purchased by private bus companies.

Re: What models do YOU want?
I have a collection of the N gauge Oxford Bus Models from the UK. However, I would move up in scale to purchase Brisbane City Council buses from the 60s through the 90s. For instance, Panthers, Nationals, Volvos SL200s or the like.

Re: What models do YOU want?
Would anyone be interested if we made one of these? I'm not saying I would, but I may have access to a tool to do this bus and others like it. BTW - this pic was taken by my brother who lives in Neranderra in SW NSW. Not sure how a Perth bus got to Neranderra but it's there if anyone's interested.
