Trux refers to them being in "State Transit blue and white". It is actually PTC blue and white.

Re: New Trux models
FINALLY some mirrors on a Trux bus.
I pity the drivers of all my other Trux vehicles, as they'd be a b*tch to drive around the city.
I have sent an email to them asking if the mirrors can be purchased separately as I would like to fit them to the other denning deckers I have (and perhaps adapt to fitting other buses in my Trux fleet). I will report back with the reply.

Re: New Trux models
If anyones interested in adding mirrors, a friend of mine has used wire........ cable from something you dont need anymore, its stiff enough and can be shaped whatever way you want the mirrors......... and use a piece of card for the mirrors, just cut it out into a small mirror shape! It works and as the wire is so light, it will glue easily to a model but beware of the type of glue you attempt to use, you dont want frosted windows!

I've looked at the spiel, and unless you were a rabid model car collector, I can't see too much value.DrArtherGunzel wrote:Has any one here joined the trax club as just wondering if its worth it and if there is any discounts or other good things you get as value for money type of thing as what trax says about it seems good.

Re: New Trux models
You may find that by doing this, your model would lose it's value - I do like the idea of a purchase from Trux of the mirrors to add to you existing collection - also bull / Roo bars would be an excellent addition.wyth wrote:If anyones interested in adding mirrors, a friend of mine has used wire........ cable from something you dont need anymore, its stiff enough and can be shaped whatever way you want the mirrors......... and use a piece of card for the mirrors, just cut it out into a small mirror shape! What I would like to know, is when Trux are going to produce an Domino Austral DC122 as these were as prevalent on the roads in the 1980 era as the Denning DenAir?????????

Re: New Trux models
Now THAT would be bloody annoying...
Re: New Trux models
Almost one in two models I get from Trux goes back due to fault or damage. The most usual being chips or scratches to paint work due to their hopelessly outdated and inferior packaging style.captainch wrote:i allways get 2 of each model one of deckers was in bits the package looked like it was thrown from trux its delivered by contractor so its going back
To their credit though, returns don't cost me anything and a replacement is always sent promptly and without quibble.
