NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
i recently broke my first volvo b2ble's mirror when it fell off the shelf and after that i decided to buy another model of the same thing from awesomediecast in the U.S for $100.It was the last one and when it arrived today what i saw is a broken left mirror also while everything esle is fine.i haven't even taken it out the box and i see a fault already.Must be the worst year ever.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
If the mirror and supports are made in anything approaching 1/76 scale, they become too vulnerable to damage, as seen in these examples.
That is why trux, EFE and some other manufacturers leave them off.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
trying to fix both models.
Hobbyco suggested to use expoxy cement over super glue and it turns out it doesn't work that good.the mirror still moves and it wasn't stong like before.
any suggestions. My second volvo i bought was purchased to replaced me broken one but the seller sold me one with a broken mirror also.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
I've found the best stuff is selly's superglue which is in a small bottle and has a brush. It allows you to put on just enough glue so is not noticable yet holds firm after 30 seconds. It's $5 but works a charm on this application, for which I have just used it.
Cheers

So you fixed the left mirror on one of your Volvo's?
My mirror snapped in half and that was the hard part gluing it back togther so now you see is a white part which looks awful.i used a permenant marker to cover it up it kinda looks a bit better.
If only i could find a spare left mirror i would be so glad but other then that i just need to fix up my second volvo's left mirror.
Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
I use this glue for my models & plastic gluing:http://www.zapglue.com/CA.html
I even repaired my centre console with the stuff, you can get it from Hobby shops, I buy it at Hobbyco or Woodpecker hobbies and they sell it much cheaper too.
It does not go white when dry/set, it stays clear.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
sta,
the photo below shows both mirrors glued back on with the selly's super glue I mentioned before. The offside one was broken in two places, and you can barely tell now.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
Here are mine again with the action bus.The action bus never had a broken mirror which i used it to help me fix my two other volvo's even tho the action bus has diffrent mirrors.

HOW on earth did you manage that much damage to your B12ble.
Both mirrors are broken,Front windscreen and wipers are gone, right side windows coming loose and the exhust pipe isn't there.
Oh god it is in very bad condition. Both of mine are fixed and double checked for any other faults which not they look perfect.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
Little hands have gotten to it, pushed it of the shelf and tampered with it. I still love it, and hopefully I can get one for Christmas of eBay or something. BTW it's no 213 of 1800.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
I believe McCann's Model World here in Hobart have that same model, and it was priced at a modest $60 (maybe? can't remember). Their online shop doesn't have it on there, but as I am a regular patron I couldn't help but notice it. Sydney buses are of no use to me, or else I would have snivelled it up myself
I might suggest that you call them and see if they still have it. That is if you're interested.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
My B12BLE came with the exhaust pipe broken in the box. I haven't opened it yet to fix it, but a dab of model cement will have it fixed in no time when I open it one day.
.
Job done.

Re: NOT MY DAY.Volvo B12ble transitgraphics model
I want to know why you would buy a complete new model when a simple repair job costing $2 to $5 for superglue would have been a beeter 1st option, you would have saved yourself over $90.00.
As for the 2nd bus with broken mirror, I am sure you have the rights to return it for a refund if damaged during transit.

Tryed contacting the seller twice but no response after 1 week and still hasn't got back to me
Even to this present day.
Well at least I have two Volvo's in my model fleet which if I can get
My hands on a custom livery for my second one I could wrap it like the prepay Volvo
Which unfortunate I couldn't purchase one in time.
Just need to go on a search for 1xvolvo b12ble left mirror since I put a bit too much
Superglue. It snaped in half as well.
