I've remastered an older template of a Metro bus into 300dpi, and now it's been made to represent the Tasmanian Bus and Coach Society's (ex Metro Tasmania) Scania N113 with Ansair VOVI body. This particular model is not meant to represent the specific TB&CS bus as it currently is, but to represent Metro #134 as it would have looked when it first entered service.
This is the first model I've ever put together, as well as the first I've designed; so naturally it needs fine tuning on the roof edges as you can see in the photos. But for my first bus, I'm happy.
Size comparison with film canister.

Great effort Matt. One thing though, "written" destos NEVER said ALL STOPS.

Ah Thanks for pointing that out. Just shows you how much I know I really consider this a "prototype", and I still have to change a few things like the roof shape and way it's put together. I'll post pictures here next week when I've managed to fix it up.Tas Bus Nut wrote:Great effort Matt. One thing though, "written" destos NEVER said ALL STOPS.

Templates can be found here in .png format, already sized for A4 printing.Cordes Express wrote:Could you possibly send me a template of this? maznmike@xtra.co.nz
http://i545.photobucket.com/albums/hh38 ... ofcopy.png - Smaller roof
http://i545.photobucket.com/albums/hh38 ... ofcopy.png - Regular roof (same as model in pictures)
There are two versions now, as one has a smaller roof width. I decided that since the roof wasn't working well to try and see how it would go with a smaller width, but now my printer has died. Because of this, I was hoping to leave the testing of this new roof over to someone on here. Hopefully it fits better around the back. It should work, as it's based off an older template that I found, but if it doesn't work, let me know by PM or a reply to this thread.
I've updated it from the 'prototype', and this one has a new, "of the era" destos reading INTERCHANGE instead of ALL STOPS. I've also added a small Ansair logo to the bottom front right, and recoloured one side, as the lighter green had a slightly different tone.

Re: Metro Tasmania - Scania N113
This is a model I originally designed for an enthusiast tour on 144 in 2009.
3 years later, and it has surfaced as an entirely 'new' model by someone else.

A bit of credit would be nice

I mentioned to sharp77, that #144 was done for our " 1st " tour back some years ago when we were farewelling #144. Had only the link for the bus, so didn't know who did the artwork. Original contact (I think) was metro_tas. Thanks STA 1440STA 1440 wrote:This is a model I originally designed for an enthusiast tour on 144 in 2009.

My apologies, but I forgot who had made itSTA 1440 wrote:This is a model I originally designed for an enthusiast tour on 144 in 2009.
