CMN News 11/01/12

Post by wyth »

It was reported in British Model Buses today CMNL has gone bankrupt, the CMN part of the biz is the model buses side and apparently is still profitable, I believe Mr Chan is working on saving this side of the biz, the bigger part of the CMNL make planes cars and other vehicles including a range of 1/24 cars, I hope there is a possitive outcome, Im not knocking Corgi or EFE as I collect them and enjoy their ranges too but, CMN buses are the higher spec and better detailed, perhaps it will be biz as usual if Danny gets this part saved. Fingers crossed.

Ben, is that a Sydney single decker? There is around 15 UK buses announced as far back as 2 yrs still outstanding, from open top Plaxton President in Edinburgh to Brighton and Hove Mercedes Bendy bus, a 2 door Enviro 200 Go Ahead London ect, it seems that CMNL is what the buses trade as is the profitable side of that CMN group, I had to re read what was posted on British Model Buses and Oriental Model Buses, I dont see why CMNL buses will dissapear, they make by far the best models out of a potential 3 other competitors..... Im sure there are negotiations as we speak, lets all hope so.

Don't be too concerned ... I read that CMNL itself is not bankrupt, but Creative Master Ltd, its manufacturing "partner" (whatever that means) is bankrupt. Big difference. There's no reason why CMNL cannot find a new manufacturer for its models.
