Rare & Limited BCC buses on Ebay

Post by PAQ12 »

Last week I purchased 1 of the few BCC buses ever produced by someone and was quite impressed with it, and some may remember that I brought up a subject quite some time ago re council bus models, well these are the ones, I knew they existed, but never knew who had them, until now!

Currently, there are 3 listings:

1 - Leyland Leopard or Panther
2 - not sure 8)
3 - Leyland Panther
4 - Brisbane FM tram

There are still a few more to come onto Ebay, including 'butterboxes' & 'metroliners'! So stay tuned (and no, i'm not the seller)
For all your printing needs, think Print Arana - visit www.printarana.com.au or phone 1300 866 593

Whilst these items may be expensive, back in 1994 when I saw the exact same units are 'The Turntable' model railway store in Nundah, they were $90 then, and whilst the detail is fairly good from a distance, but up close you may find some in-perfections, considering there are no other BT models in existance that anyone is aware of, I thought now is the time to pick up such an item, even if it is a $150! But is the photo albumns that I also bought are certainly worthwhile, $90 for about 7 or 8 of them - with pics of bus accidents, butterboxes brand new, mk3 Australs being assembled, and plenty more!

G'day Everyone,

I'd be guessing these are made by someone hand casting in Resin or Whitemetal?

The reason the price is probably a tad steep is because if they are being cast from recently purchased resin chemicals, the price has simply gone up alot for the raw materials.

So by the time you factor in the materials and maybe a little profit for you troubles, $150 sounds about right sadly.

From what is shown in the photos looks good :)

Good Find

Regards,
