Aussie Bus Models - Wish List

Post by kitkat271 »

Now that we've all got our hands on the STA O405NH gassie model, what do you guys wish for next?

To be honest the success of the gassie model shows there is a huge market out there, given the lack of authentic detailing on the model. Not to mention the gassie is hardly the most loved Sydney bus ...

I hope CMN makes a good Custom CB60 cast, imagine what models you could build off that? (However there's only so many CB60-based models you would buy). Also a good Volgren one would be nice.

A bus model I would like to see is BT's CNG Scania with the Volgren bodywork. And of course the STA's B12BLEA bendy.

There would definitely have to be an STA Merc mk5 in original livery, wouldn't mind one in corporate either.

I would love to see a Renault PR100.2 (ANSAIR) or PR100.3 (AustralDenning) in ACTION colours in a model. Or Even a Scania CNG L94UB with CC body in ACTION's new Green and Orange livery, that would be nice.

With all the Sydney liveries to cover since new, plus a few private operators, they could go on releasing new variations indefinitely. :P

Undoubtibly a Mk 5 Which could also go in a number of different liveries, ot to mention cover the insipid MAN's also.

And a Mk 2 and the inconic Sydney Buses Mercedes Bendy Of course.

Given the Mk V body is a VOV body design, one would have thought there would be castings available already for them. At the least there would be left-hand drive version of these available.

How about a model of a Mccafferty's Coach and of a Greyhound Pioneer Coach. Even a cardboard model would be great.

Thanks

I am stunned :!: :!: Someone from south of Queensland has picked a Brisbane Transport bus for a model.
If any of us from up here dared to suggest a BT bus we would have been shot down in flames :!: :!:

My choice for a model would be a Volvo B59 PMCSA.

I'd like to see a UD RB30R/Nambucca or a Denning Denflex, the best bus manufacturers of their day.

Anything from the current BT fleet (preferred), or from the past BCC/BT fleet (2nd choice).

But we've all heard of model railways, if you had the money, you could have a model depot with the right number of each make of bus & the buildings & what not! Now that is an idea (but bloody expensive and near impossible with the lack of aussie models around), but then you would have to renumber each bus to suit (they all can't be numbered the same bus number)!
For all your printing needs, think Print Arana - visit www.printarana.com.au or phone 1300 866 593

Formally Known as "BT Buses"

How about first sticking with the latest modern buses as they have bodies seen in many company fleets in many liveries in more than just one state.

A CC CB60 will do well as these are now seen pretty much all over the country.

How about a Transperth Mercedes-Benz OC 500 LE CNG/Volgren "CR 228L" in Perth CAT livery? To me, no other modern livery is as striking as this one!

Perth Cat livery striking????

C'mon now, its plain silver with a black cat on it. There are far more striking liveries out there than that.

What about a Renault with the PMC Metro 90 (MkV) body? Or the two Lynx demonstrators? You could also make many versions of the much talked-about ex-Qunices units which have infiltrated the fleets of many operators.........
Enjoy.

I wouldn't mind a BT Volvo B10M Metroliner, or an STA Volvo Volgren.
Hmm, so many buses, so little cash...

Okay Inspector, if you don't think the CAT livery is striking enough, how about a model of Southern Coast Transit 1138 (Denning Landseer decker) with the Mandurah Line AOA?

I'd like a oc500le merc with the volgren 228 body in transit first livery or a renault pr100.2 in Baxters livery.
Doing nothing suspicious at PATH Transit

Now that would be nice but the Dennings have carried more interesting liveries in the past aswell but you have atleast picked a good coach to model.
