Is there going to be a new fleet list for Keolis Downer, who I understand took over the Government bus services in Newcastle on 1st July this year.
They took over the vehicles of the former government buses in Newcastle.
I understand they have added extra white coloured buses to this fleet list
:D

Yes they have taken over the Newcastle operation although their first impression with their website is not good as it still says that they WILL take over in July 2017.
And yes there will be a new fleet list but time has at this stage not allowed this to be done but we can assure that it will be done.

Yes but it needs to be a separate list as it is no longer part of State Transit. Keeping it under State Transit would be very confusing to the non initiated.

The separate fleet list is now available.

I Did a rego check for the remaining MAN 11.220 Ansair Orana's at Newcastle transport and it's not returning any results so they've finally been all dereg and withdrawn.

These include m/o 3669, m/o 3675 m/o 3676 / m/o 3680

2820: even though it may be "off the road", it may still be part of the fleet.

Registration is shown as "suspended".

In regards to ATDB fleet-listings, usually major accident damaged buses are marked as such on the listing and are given a withdrawn status, if by any chance it does get reregistered then the fleet-list moderator will add it back to the full fleet list moving it away from the disposal listing for said operator.

That would of happened with what was then Veolia Transport Bustech Mercedes O405NH m/o 8331 whitch is now Transdev m/o 5327 after it's major accident in 2009

End of an era, the remaining two Volvo B10BLE's at Newcastle Transport were withdrawn & retired 15/12/23 after completing their morning school specials. (3878 and 3880). This marks the end of B10BLE's operating within the Newcastle Transport fleet.

I have been informed of the plans for one of them post retirement however will hold off on saying what's happening for the time being as there is still a lot to be done and don't want to raise hopes incase something goes pear shaped.
