So that's why theres alway so much chatter on a weekend. I wondered the other day, "how can there be so much when theres only 861, 864 and the occasional 837/838H/839/865".busrider wrote:If it was on a weekend, I believe hills radio communication goes via the Lonsdale channel...

Also, an indication of this (if you're where you can hear the radio) would be like 2714 to Lonsdale for example. That's when you'd notice things are different.

This isn't a Southlink update, but MAN SL202s 1618 and 1619 have reportedly been moved from Newton to Mile End. It also coincides with a few observations by myself of them being on Mile End shifts lately.

Only minor for the fleetlists - 2592 is a Scania K280UB (DOT# 944001) and not a K230UB.

Re: SouthLink Changes
I just saw in the Fleetlists that Southlink 3212 and 3215 are listed as having the same rego ("WTX 787"). This, obviously can't be right. After a bit of searching (through photos on Flickr) I found that 3212 has "WTX 787", and 3215 has "WTX 789". I believe this to be a pretty major error, so it would be nice for it to get fixed. Re: SouthLink Changes
I thought there were no country ticket machines anymore? Last time I went to Strath, I just gave the driver a small cash fare. No ticket or anything. Like using a cab.

Re: SouthLink Changes
There are still country ticket machines. Some drivers print off the receipt and give it to passengers, some don't. If you didn't get the receipt, you wouldn't know they still exist. Plus I was talking with the driver the whole time.

Re: SouthLink Changes
Just an idea for the fleetlists - combine Mt Barker and Aldgate depots into one instead of having them separate, as buses constantly get rotated between the two depots instead of permanently situated at one of the two

Re: SouthLink Changes
There's only one vehicle listed as being at Mt Barker, and that is the decker. The rest are listed as being at Aldgate. The fleet lists for other Southlink depots lists them at Elizabeth (the name is out of date), and Lonsdale. It gives an indication of which contract area they're in.

Re: SouthLink Changes
3401 spends time at Aldgate sometimes. It never does an Aldgate shift, but Aldgate drivers drive it. Anyway it has to come back to Aldgate every now and again, where at Mt Barker would they service it?
And a sidenote for people who are unaware - Aldgate shifts have a 10xx biscuit; Mt Barker shifts have a 13xx biscuit. Makes it easy to tell which depot the bus is at at time of photo/ride/whatever.

Lonsdale's Rosa #2605 is listed as having the rego SB 38 EZ, should be SB 31 EZ. See here for a picture of the vehicle, taken today

Southlink Scania K280UB 2418 is at Edinburgh North depot (formerly Elizabeth), not Lonsdale as listed in the fleet lists.

SouthLink's 2603 Rosa is in the standard Admet livery, and has not been in all white for quite some time now.
Re: SouthLink Changes
3306 was reported as scrapped some time ago but is still in the list
2536 is 1852477
1832 is 1882817/ 944037
The 1800 series rigids should be B43Dw according to ABC deliveries
And a question - are any of the MAN SH280s listed under rail replacement still available for service??
It would be nice to see Adelaide enthusiasts fill in the gaps in this list during 2017.

Re: SouthLink Changes
3306 has been removed for months now. Which list were you reading?
I've heard numerous comments that the high floors in storage won't be used for rail subs. If anyone knows for sure, it'd be good to at least have confirmation.

Re: SouthLink Changes
3306 has been gone for many months now, along with the ex Melbourne SL200's that you mentioned in another topic in this sub-section.
If you're seeing these in the 'Disposal List', then that is where such vehicles belong. Also, 1832 belongs to Light-City Buses (Transfield), not SouthLink.
I may as well make a comment to all of your replies to the Admet related services:
In regards to the SG's - all have been removed from service. They will not be used for any future rail sub work. All remaining SG's will either be scrapped or sold off privately (been informed this is the case, by numerous drivers).
Anyhow, you have provided some information in which can be used to update the lists. That will be edited accordingly when the person in charge has some spare time, thanks

2520/21 are also listed in the SouthLink "owned fleet" list, but they're no longer with SouthLink either.

Re: SouthLink Changes
For some odd reason, 2218 has been listed as withdrawn for a while now. I can confirm that this is certainly not the case, it has been sighted many times over the last months..
