NSW Government disposals reformatting
Hi all,
Just a quick note to say that I have finished converting the disposal lists for the AEC Regal 4's and the Leyland ERT "Worldmasters" about 700 units, so if anyone has some updates to make or corrections, please contact me and I shall update the lists accordingly.
I hope people are finding the new format easier to follow than the old one
(edited to change title to something more appropriate)

Re: ex PTC/UTA "underfloor" disposals - AEC and Leyland
Next project will be the 31 seaters, I've just created the pages for the three types and will start to populate the page ASAP

Hi all,
Well the 31 seaters are all finished with a few clarifications to be sorted out. So could some board members who were around when they got the chop just have a look through and check for any errors? Thanks
Onto the postwar double deckers now

Re: NSW Government disposals reformatting
Recently with the help of 'fleetlists' we established how to code for different text colours, my original idea was to highlight disposed buses that spent some time interstate, thinking mainly of the Regal/Regent 3's that went to Brisbane after the Paddington Tram depot fire and more recent years, the mk2 merc O305's that went to assist when the Scania L94's were off the road.
I decided to also utilise this function for those mercs that were painted for Sydney Explorer, Airport Express or Silver Service, as well as anniversary liveries.
With this in mind, what buses were devoted all over advertisement buses? off the top of my head there was 2135, 2645 and 2648 (all the mk3 airporters?) and only because of 777 duties? (might note that too), 3079 along with a few others and some of the mkV bi centennials?

Re: NSW Government disposals reformatting
Today I tidied up the mark 3 disposals page, given that none have been on STA property since February 2010 and I have yet to receive final confirmation of what went to top dollar and what slipped through that net and went elsewhere, I have marked all the to be confirmed units with a *

Re: NSW Government disposals reformatting
It's been a while since I have posted here, so I will bring this thread up to date
A while ago I completed the Clyde bodied Leyland Titans
OPD1
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LO1Y
OPD2/1
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... arch=LO21Y
The OPD2 list is a work in progress
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LO2Y
I'll soon get onto completing the Comeng bodied Leyland Titans
After seemingly going around in circles with the postwar Leyland deckers lists, I found the prewar and war single decks and with these, there aren't so many members in each class so less daunting
Anyhow
We have in the prewar stakes:
AEC Regal with Syd Wood bodies from 1937 - these also were built with double deck bodies, hence the "single deck" designation
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=ARSS
With Waddington bodies
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=ARWS
Albion Valiant from 1935/36
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=BTW
Albion Valkyrie with Syd Wood bodies from 1936/37
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=BVS
with Waddington bodies
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=BVW
Dennis Lancet (the whole one of these!)
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=DLIS
Dennis Lancet II (the other whole one)
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=DLS
Dennis Lancet II with Woddington bodies - that hefty order of 4
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=DLW
The whole one Leyland LT5a
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LT5a
Leyland TS7's
Syd Wood bodies http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=LTS
Waddington http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=LTW
Leyland RTS8
Olding and Sons http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LR8O (all 3 of them!)
Waddingtons http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LR8W
Syd Wood http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... earch=LR8S (all 2 of them!)
Wartime single decks
The infamous "Austerity" with Properts body
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=FAP
The ones the DGT did themselves
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... ?search=FA
And the semi trailer buses
http://busaustralia.com/fleetlists/stad ... search=FAD
Hopefully these list reformats are making it easier to identify vehicles , ideally I would like to get them to a point where if someone finds an old govvie bus in a paddock somewhere, it would be easy to identify it or indeed find one of the many long lost vehicles that skipped the scrappers

Re: NSW Government disposals reformatting
I spent some time on friday adding in the remaining mk4 mercs that are still in service and treating them like the 4 remaining PMC 160's, if there is a * beside the fleetnumber, it is still in service. I have done this for two reasons, firstly there are far more withdrawn than in actual service (the case with the PMC 160's also, except the ones left will remain in service much longer than the mkIV's) and secondly, there are two databases in the background, one for the "active" fleet and one for disposals and it has occured in the past that the two conflicted and I know I had got behind with my side of the lists, so I added in everything to ensure I had not missed any, which as it turns out, I had (about 6 or so from many months ago)
On other lists, I did have all the Comeng bodied Leyland Titan OPD 1's done, however a corrupted file meant that half were lost, I'll aim to get that sorted out and get through the OPD 2's as soon as I can

Re: NSW Government disposals reformatting
After years of on again off again data transferral, I finally have every bus ordered by the government in the current database - no more html files
Next I'm hoping to have a search function - maybe focussing more on fleet number and places as well as the usual rego and VIN parameters
I also want to add VIN's, body numbers and body dates into the current format
Finshed up with the Prewar (well these were built in 1940, but obviously ordered before) AEC Regents last night
