Re: Trains in the Hunter
It never ceases to momentarily confuse me seeing Superfreighters in electrified platforms, being from the south where they're always on dedicated lines.
Nice pics, Those LDP locos are very nice looking, I havn't seen one yet but I know they're hanging around Dynon in Melbourne (which I pass regularly)
Cool pics though!
Cheers

I just wish we could all get along like we used to in Middle School, I wish that I could bake a cake made of rainbows and smiles and we'd all eat it and be happy.

I've only spent 3 days in the Hunter region, but it really can be a railfans paradise!
Well done, great photos!

And a good one at that. You've got one that's in 3+3 arrangement too which I'm led to believe is uncommon. (M-T-M-M-T-M as opposed to M-T-M-T-T-M)Mark V wrote:Newcastle bound V-set passing Broardmeadow yard with a Storm on its tail (This would be one of the first V-set pic's ive taken in years..)
Is that the truth or did you read about it in a Rail Back on Track media release?

If you love your trains you will love the Hunter Valley.. the hardest part is knowing you have to return home sooner or later.RailwayBus wrote:I've only spent 3 days in the Hunter region, but it really can be a railfans paradise!

Re: Trains in the Hunter
The bridges seem to be a good vantage point to take pics of trains like those photos which were taken at Adamstown Station and near Tighes Hill TAFE.

Re: Trains in the Hunter
Any bridge in the area is good for photo's the only downfall is the overhead wires ruining the perfect shot at Adamstown.. most prefer the station but have done it several times and thought i'd give it a go.

No, it's not that uncommon now, unlike this one.Andrew21 wrote:You've got one that's in 3+3 arrangement too which I'm led to believe is uncommon. (M-T-M-M-T-M as opposed to M-T-M-T-T-M)
