That photo of the Reliance was well before ACTION, I don't think any passed to that operator.
MO-35 I think was a STARMASTER, a short lived model between the Tourmaster and HD1 series.
The MAN was the first HD1 built.
MO-292 was built for the UTA, I'm sure AEC Decker would like to be driving this on the X73 A long Mk 6

MO 35 was one of 6 Tourmasters built with Starliner fronts, the first of the Ron Murray special models, and yes, the name given to them was Starmasters.boronia wrote:That photo of the Reliance was well before ACTION, I don't think any passed to that operator.

Murrays had 3 AEC Reliances with Athol Hedges bodies, all of which were new to the Department of the Interior(using the trading name Canberra Bus Service), i'm not 100% sure but I think MO 31 was ex ZIB 117. The Action name wasn't used until introduced in 1977, and initially it was an acronym A.C.T.I.O.N.
yolo seems to be a bit of a trend!

Still is, the Australian Capital Territory Internal Omnibus Network (With 'Wheel' logo which was in use until last year) or ACTION.
A Very nice collection of photos, especially the Canberra Explorer bus which was seen in it's final days at Revolve in the Mugga Tip.

Didn't some of those buses, or equivalents, from Murrays find their way to the erstwhile Canberra "Bus Museum"

MO 31, I would have thought that it is a CCMC body judging by the grille and front header as well. Can anyone verify this for me?

No, sorry little Pete - it is an Athol Hedges body.
