Sinclairs - Bus 75 Eastern Suburbs Omnibus Service Depot

Post by Busboi1984au »

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can help me out i am seeking a photo of a paticular bus of Bus 75 in the old Sinclairs Bus Services fleet before it became Eastrans. Bus 75 was a layland, was based at the ESOS depot, and had blue livery rather than the Green usually found on Sinclairs buses.
Apparently this bus was at some point turned into an AOA livery bus, but my friend is seeking any photos of this bus before it went AOA.

If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi Busboi1984au

My guess is that the bus you are after is a Leyland B21 with Allison auto and PMCSA body. This was new 8/82 and was demo vehicle, which might account for the initial different colour scheme, although I can't remember it myself. This was number 85 in the fleet and registered BSB 795.

Number 75 was a 'common' Volgren B10M, CYL 337 new 9/86. It did have numerous AOA liveries.

I'm sure someone has a picture of the Leyland.

Hi there, ESOS did have the Leyland B21 as 75 originally, it indeed was in Leyland demonstrator livery. Although under the same ownership, ESOS & Sinclair's had seperate fleet numbering systems. ESOS 74, 75 & 76 were renumbered 84,85 & 86 when fleet numbers were eventually merged into the Sinclair system as Sinclair's already had a 74, 75 & 76.
I don't have a photo of it in demo livery , but do have it in AOA livery & later in Westrans Werribee blue livery, can post phots if you wish
The said vehicle had a reputation for being very heavy on the go go juice, so spent a fair amount of time resting in the depot.
Hope that helps
