Re: Busways at Campbelltown Station
Pictures are not bad, although a couple look a bit washed out (direct sunlight on white doesn't help I suppose).
The windowlines on those CB60 Scanias don't leave much to the imagination in my opinion though.
Given Busways (like Veolia) are going the way of an "all white" livery (well except the red bumper bar on some of the O405s), is this about as close to a "common" livery as Sydney's going to get (as opposed to say Translink [SE Qld], Adelaide Metro or TransPerth's efforts)? Or are we supposed to suddenly see colour on these buses one day (hmm... a common transport authority - that'd be too hard for this government).

"It's my way or the (side of the) highway".
Might be a way to lead life, but more like the way that some people drive.

The Liberals transport policy are to set up a Transport Co Ordination Authority that would merge 10 agencies into one lot to manage it efficiently. But it won't happen till the next election in 2011.pgt wrote:is this about as close to a "common" livery as Sydney's going to get (as opposed to say Translink [SE Qld], Adelaide Metro or TransPerth's efforts)? The fleet list gives you a choice - Port Macquarie or Camden. Which one would you think looking at the photo?

It is interesting to read through this old post from 5 years ago about a common livery colour.pgt wrote:Pictures are not bad, although a couple look a bit washed out (direct sunlight on white doesn't help I suppose).

Gee - it was that long ago I wrote that?Fleet Lists wrote:It is interesting to read through this old post from 5 years ago about a common livery colour.
I remember writing it, but couldn't remember for the life of me which thread it was...!
Well 5 years later, I guess I wasn't far off the mark (we got two tone blue for "colour" - I was thinking at least 3 different colours like Translink or AdelaideMetro at the time when I wrote that, not two shades of the same!)
