The Peters Ice Cream "Clipper"

Post by system improver »

Here are two shots from the January 1954 Truck and Bus story on the vehicle which was registered in December 1953 or January 1954 and has an Albion Prime Mover and was made at Ansair, hence the "Clipper" look:

I wouldn't have liked the job of loading and unloading, that back door doesn't look real big at all. Was there an axcess point from the near side i wonder?

Be good to know the story behind the idea to use a Clipper "skin" , very unique.
The body lines even match up with the Prime mover.
he cleans up after everyone that uses a bus.

That truck would have been classed as a modern sleek design in 1954, even if it does look like a Flxible Clipper Semi-Trailer bus.

BTW has it been preserved ?

That was my first thought when I saw the picture. It even has a "cut-out" for the windows. :P
