[NSW] Once upon a time ...... McVicar's Bus Service Part 1

Warning : this is all old, old stuff. If you appreciate the history of a bus company established in 1919 and which operated for some 60 years then continue.

All the black and white photos on McVicar's come from the Ron Drummond collection, and thank you Ron for sharing. The colour photos are mine.

McVicar's depot was in Joseph Street, Lidcombe. An early shot of the corner office block.

mo285 Daimler with Star Bros body. In the '70's this rego was with an AEC Reliance 505 with CVI body.

Derelict at the Joseph Street depot is a Gilford (left) and mo516 an Albion.

mo978 was this 32 seater Mack photographed at the depot.

mo16 was this Fageol. In the '70's this rego was carried by a Coachmaster bodied AEC Reliance 470.

These are just amazing photographs. :shock:
Would that Gilford be an ex DRT&T bus? It also looks a bit like a White 54A!
That m/o.516 plate has also had a long history.
I just love the plate (m/o.16) that's on the Fageol!

Another old McVicar's thread in which the photos have been reactivated.

I would love to include some of these old photos in the McVicar section of the photo gallery.

Fleet lists, I have no objection in the Mc Vicar photos being included in the Photo Gallery, GM
