7:17PM at night, and 5 buses lined up (and 4 of them are headed to towns ~30 minutes away)

I guess the new timetable runs pretty late at night. :?

Given that the Express-bodied units tend to work only the Bellerine Transit services, covering mainluy rural areas, there is little need for rear doors on these buses. Also, as you may have discovered, the floorline rises quite quickly to accomodate underfloor luggage space (much like Sussex Bus's Customs CB50), so it would be difficult to incorporate a centre door.

That said, there is probably a need for McHarry's to slightly alter their Leopold and Grovedale services so that they can be better accomodated with the GTS network - including using two-door GTS buses - rather than keeping them as Bellerine Transit services that just so happen to run entirely within the GTS Zone.
