Re: WA Private Operators observations thread
Saw two Horizon's West Atlantean deckers on Riverside Dr near Barrack St Jetty this arvo, one in a Down Under livery and the other in Horizon's West. They'd be fairly close to retirement surely, they do look worn out. But they are great fun! You would think so. I used to catch these in Sydney as a ...

Re: MTT Kwinana Bus Station
What a great ride through the past. The chemical smell whilst aboard an Hino between Rockingham and Fremantle is still within my mind's nose. Re: Does Perth need more ferries???
The government will also have to invest in purchasing more water-type vehicles for it to happen. Perhaps something with a little bit more poke than the current Shelley Taylor Smith and Phillip Pendal. TBH I don't think the above vessels are working at their full potential... A bit more "poke&q...

Re: Does Perth need more ferries???
"PBCNG" you are quite obviously on your own here. Mr CO benz virtually sucked away your oxygen on this (and well proposed are his ideas I say). The inner eastern side of the suburban area would greatly embrace a ferry/ies to those points. Imagine it, a service to the races that adds to the...

Re: Does Perth need more ferries???
If a ferry service is to be viable, it should be used to connect the north side of the river with the south. It isn't any quicker to have a ferry (or even a speed boat or cat or whatever they call them) run all the way down to Freo. It takes 28 minutes by train, I can't remember exactly how long (t...

Re: Does Perth need more ferries???
No, Perth doesn't need more ferries. The reasons are: 1. Low speed limit on the river increases running times to longer than equivalent bus services 2. Small catchment areas make extra services cost-ineffective 3. There aren't really any major strategic centres along the river except for Fremantle ...
