Re: Error message.

I had a new error today, while trying to bulk delete a number of PM's. Selecting the ckeck box for about a dozen PM's, then trying to delete them resulted in the error message "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." The PM's were not deleted. Deleting PM's individually works fine.

All route numbers need simplifying..
It gets a little confusing when you have been around for so long and they use existing route numbers for new different/other routes like for example the 734 used to go up to Blackwood.
734 has never gone to Blackwood.

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread

First Set Down. Stopping arrangement whereby (generally) on heading away from the City, the bus will pick up only until stop xx. Examples: 224F, 864F, 195F, 721F. On trips in the reverse direction the bus will stop to set down only, however intending passengers are permitted to board if the bus has ...

Re: Buses out of service for long periods

Admin Note: I have removed a number of posts from this topic which were off-topic. This topic is to discuss buses which leave service for extended periods of time, and to advise of those buses returning to service. Please keep to the topic, and if you wish to discuss various aspects, consider creati...

Re: [May/June 2020] SA Transport observations

Intersting wording on the page: "MetroTickets are not available for purchase on board bus services as driver do not carry cash. MetroTickets can be purchased from vending machines on all trains and trams and at many interchanges." The lack of a word "currently" or similar leads to suggest that the l...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals

It may be a matter that the upcoming network revisions require fewer buses in the Outer South contract area, and the new number will be in force from that date.

145 (and 15) turned right from Gilles Rd into Portrush Rd, left Greenhill, right Stuart, left Dulwich, right Fullarton, then Dequetteville Tce and Rundle Rd to city. The right turn onto Portrush became too dangerous, so for a while I think it was the 148 that went left Portrush, into Cross Rd, righ...

Gives it a retro feel.

The 1194 service would regularly disconnect after about a minute. Sometimes just over, and other times just under.

[May/June 2020] SA Transport observations

Greetings all and welcome to the May/June observations thread. Not much usually happens in May or June, they're typically pretty quiet months. Especially moreso with the current COVID-19 restrictions. Work progresses on the Southern Expressway extension, and the extension of the Tonsley railway line...

Today (23 April 2020) marks 20 years since the introduction of the "Adelaide Metro" branding to Adelaide's public transport, and also the 20 year anniversary since the entireity of the Adelaide Metro bus network was outsourced; happy 20th birthday to Southlink and Torrens Transit!

I would suggest that the buses that have gone from Camden Park to Mile End are in replacement for the buses Mile End have lost to Southlink for rail.

Re: Adelaide Metro. Empty Buses Everywhere!

A problem with reducing the capacity by reducing services would be that when demand resumes, how long would it take to resume regular services? Rosters are typically prepared a month in advance, a sudden increase in demand would leave a system with insufficient drivers to cover the trips. Leave the ...

Interesting. Earlier today the website was advising that it was a permanent change; now the word permanent has been removed. Guess we'll just have to see if the change becomes permanent.

Re: Rail closures-March-April

Gawler line is typically run by Southlink; my observations have shown them to tend to have additional capacity as coaches during weekday peak periods.

I recall 177 running as feeders outside peak hour. 173 if I recall terminated at the Felixstow Woolworths. By the way I am puzzled that the latest Athelstone route is 176 , the previous 176 went via Clairville Road and Hambledon Road whereas the 177 was the one that went via Cresdee Avenue. Once a ...
