Last Saturday morning I used the 670 from Croydon Station to Chirnside Park; being operated by a Designline out of Knoxfield Depot. The driver told me it was her first run on that route.

Thanks for this information. In the last week I have seen 993 (The only CB80) of Croydon Depot on the 737; and then 858 (Lilydale's only Designline) at KnoX City; thought it was on 737 but quite possibly the 732.

In recent months I have seen many PTV Livery buses on the 901. In fact it is common-place. Is this a change of PTV requirements that the SmartBus Services no longer need to be in their livery.

I have used the D78 Stock when on the District Line; I would not think Viva's rebuild would make them of use in the outer suburban lines here. Far better to Electrify to Bacchus Marsh; and even to the Geelong area.

In fairness, the observations about Transdev have rarely been about the Drivers. One suspects the contributors only reflect the general feeling that Transdev are not as well received by users as the previous operator. Perhaps the fault lies with the PTV and those who awarded a contract to a Company ...

What a disaster. 18 months into the contract; only six (6) new buses. How many new buses have we seen for the Ventura Group in that time? How many new buses have we seen for Dysons, for CDC.

Transdev appear to be just the same as Connex. One asks if they will ever recover and gain a good reputation.

Why is it that Transdev have not ordered any new buses since the five (5) that arrived last year. Meanwhile new buses have been added to many of the other fleets such as Dysons and Ventura.

I note they plan to Strike until Christmas Day. All will be back for extra pay over the holidays.

With only five (5) new buses joining the fleet since September 2013; is anyone aware of the Contract Transdev have with the PTV about updating the fleet. Ids there any requirement that mentions fleet replacement?

Question: does the contract require / allow / ensure that Transdev will repaint the buses into their own livery or the PTV livery. (Not the SmartBuses, of course). Otherwise they will inherit a disparate number of liveries from Ventura.
