Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

^ The crossover at Central Station may have ben used on the morning of Anzac Day to support the additional early morning services between Bondi Junction and Central (in that direction between 03:23 - 04:53). I'm not sure of the exact operating procedures for these particular shuttle services. Surely...

Re: Timetable Changes 2024,

Somebody might want to figure out how Transit Systems manages to run so many of the region 6 routes into the other areas. Ones that come to mind - there's more - include the 389, 410, 530 and the 320 which barely even runs into region 6 if I'm not mistaken, depending on where one draws the boundary...

Re: Bus Observations 2024.

I'd like to know how many buses in the NSW bus fleet have FUNCTIONING fire suppression systems (FSS). I assume they all have FSS when new, but the FSS is not inspected along with everything else (brakes, tyres, seat-belts, etc...) at the mandatory 6-monthly inspections by TfNSW. Why?: because FSS s...

Re: ex-State Transit Vehicle Transmissions

4994 - 4999 units were built / registered / delivered not long before the batch of units 1870 - 1889. The numbering and batching of buses became even more sporadic and sometimes random in appearance from the fleet numbering of 1900 through to 2300’s.

Sydney Metro North West rail replacement route 12M will be operated by Busways Region 1 on 16-17/3/2024 and 23-24/3/2024. So will they be getting a whole new fleet of (electric?) buses? .. much as the operator of Chatswood - Epping got a brand new fleet. I could be wrong, however, considering that the rail replacement will start in either July or October this year, the short time frame may prevent a new fleet of elect...
