Re: PMC-Adelaide High Deck/Super High Decks.

Not my pic, but I drove this coach on it's first trip after delivery. Scania K113TR 360HP 10 speed Scania 'Box. It was an express run from Adelaide to Melbourne for Trans City in 1988. Laid over in Melbourne for a day and the ran back to Adelaide. I only had 3 pax on board and they got off in Horsha...

Bus Tie Bar / Clip

I'm looking for a couple of tie bars. They are the type that were sold by the Bus and Coach Society in the 1980's and '90's Gold in colour with black highlights. I'm looking for a Denning DenAir and a Denning Landseer. They look similar to this picture (only they are Dennings) 2014-09-11 11.01.47.jp...

I'm looking for Bus Australia Epaulets. I used to have a set but lost one over the years and I'm looking to replace it. Over the years I have received many sets of epaulets from companies that I have driven for but for one reason or another I have lost some of them. So I'm just trying to replace the...

Yes, sort of... The Austral is still in George Town, but the Toyota and the MotorCoach have gone to Ulverstone.
We have a Nissan Civilian from Ulverstone here in George Town and we had a MAN 18.370 here for a short while.

Re: Denning Landseer auto gearbox reliability?

It's probably an Allison Auto... they are also made by Detroit, so parts and spares would not be a problem.
And it would match up with the Detroit motor perfectly.

Also the Denning Landseer in my Avitar is for sale if you are interested... GREAT condition and low Kms.

Speaking for myself, I enjoyed driving the BOVAs. They were a great driving coach... 360HP DAF motor, six speed syncro box stiff suspension! They went like the clappers! This makes me angry!
Steerable tags were introduced to help reduce the problem of stripping tag tires when turning and to help with maneuverability. What moron wants to put us back 20 years?
Will this effect all TAS registered buses / coaches?
