Re: truck stops
Because all I see is girls chatting up bus drivers so they don't get angry when they don't pay for a fair, I've seen the same girls do it almost everyday. It certainly goes both ways. I was a relief driver on the original Bankstown Coaches’ BulletBus. I broke the golden rule about what not to do to...

I’ll stick with my original 15 year old design.
It saddens me to think in QLD it would almost be up for a body inspection.

You had a PM who would stand forward and fight fires. You didn't like his mannerisms. We got one with better manners but doesn't fight fires. There is just no winning.

Roadworks. Engineering the same bumps into the same road in the same spot in the new surface is a testament to modern technology.

Re: Difference between Denning Landseer / Denair / Mono?
Landseer and Mono are just models, landseer just being the later shape. Denair is the trademark name of the air suspension system they run. They will be fitted with Detroit 6v92 two stroke motors- Getting harder to find mechanics for them all the time. With the price of fuel now, do yourself a favou...

What do you think. What can you tell me about the VK43? Superior bodied Albion Viking with no build plate in the front step well- as it no longer has a front step well. Where would the VIN be stamped? 5 speed box and Leyland motor. Apparently this bloke bought it off someone who knew little about it...

Re: Steer tyre blow jobs
It ought to be good reading how you propose a steer axle should go as light as 4.5t when new Scania prime movers for example tare at about 6.2t. Generally the axles are rated for 7t, with 6.5t now being legal on vehicles meeting cabin strength requirements, fitted with a FUPS bar and are ADR 80/01 c...

Re: Austral Tourmaster's vs Denning Denair's/Landseer's.
Round town a two stroke struggled to beat about 2 to 2.2km/L with me steering. But that was regularly paying homage to the ever increasing rarity of the bellowing menace that is the mighty two stroke (giving it sh i t). I was a bit mislead by the title of this post. I had a bit of a Keyboard Warrior...

Re: Diesel engine comparisons:what are the best and worst?
The best fuel economy I ever got was from a 1984 MAN SR280 with an old Tourmaster body. It was geared wrong (1200rpm at 100km/h) and it loved it. I used about 2/3rds the fuel of a two stroke of the same shape but had more torque and would hook out and overtake a 350hp Detroit up hills.

^on any motor except a two stroke, which you will successfully blow up if you try and make it pull out of 900rpm.
