The good old Route 75 to EPPING HIGHWAY. From memory terminated in that dead end part of Blenheim Rd below what was then a golf driving range. Epping Highway was one of those popularly used but never official names .... always has been Epping Road but known as the highway since my earliest recollect...

Leyland National 601 had the honour of being the first vehicle to be housed in the almost complete display hall. Bedford 249 will join it tomorrow when they both return from the Metro Family Day display.

I remember seeing some kind of plaque near the East Ryde shops just a couple of years back marking the establishment of the Dress Circle Estate. I would presume it is still there.

Hobart Hopper - HCCs free Saturday service linking Salamanca with council's carparks, commences a new route this Saturday, and I think under a new contract, as it went to tender last year. 49 to be exact, 34 from Metro and another 15 from O'Driscoll's. All vehicles need to be past the Strickland Avenue junction before 7AM. I was told 47 from Metro alone + 15 x O'D. It was poor old 721 stuck at the lights on Springfield Ave about to cross Main Rd from about 7.20am. Was there for about 45 minutes before it was able to get moving.

Taken just over a week ago the Tasmanian Transport Museum Road Transport Display Hall is now starting to take shape. In this view most of the cladding has now been applied. Next big job is the concrete pour.
