Nice to see every available S Set in service today to cover C and K sets that have been removed from service pending asbestos inspection,cleanup and recertification.No standby trains as every set of every type have been drafted to cover the shortfall

Standard non-holiday working is 5 cars - nothing to do with age of fleet etc.Also reduction in crewing and cost savings from less staff and maintenance as passenger numbers do not warrant 7 cars

Forest did buy the Sawtell operation last month and will repaint all vehicles which will be retained into Forest livery like some of the former Ryans fleet has already been repainted.Some new vehicles have also been introduced to the former Ryans operation.

So trains don't do heavy lifting??? A few mishaps with Trainlink this morning.An Oscar set derailed down the South Coast and a shunting mishap at Eveleigh with a couple of Endeavour cars.The first Endeavour set for refurbishment has entered the contractors facility and will be coming out in Trainlink livery

Many,many services were reorganised,rerouted,delayed,transposed etc etc to make the best of a difficult situation.All sections of Sydney Trains and RMC did a great job to effect a speedy return to normal. Windowline could be altered at significiant cost but in this case no.

This is due to the requirements of the structural strength and loadbearing in the existing design.
