An iconic attraction in my area, Carribean Gardens market closing permanently, they say it is unviable to reopen. Used to be able to walk out with some bootleg DVD's in a brown paper bag.

I saw a Volvo/CR221L at Chadstone today with O12-4844, therefore 4844AO. Consulted fleet list and former Wyndham based (73) was transferred to Oakleigh recently, so that must be the one.

Re: Radio station discussions

The only networked content on 3AW now is weekend overnights, the House of Wellness on Sunday and the finance program on weekday evenings that leads into Denis Walter's show. I have heard little snippets of Dee Dee in the afternoon while in lockdown and I find it quite boring, I reckon they may of be...

Re: What Do Siblings etc Make of Your PT Interest?

Tony Moclair is an aviation enthusiast apparently, mentioned it on air the other night when I briefly tuned in, slowly getting used to the new regime at 3AW, especially while locked down. Dee Dee is boring as hell though, Denis does a good job at night and is very listenable, better than the former ...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

In Victoria, taxis had a six to seven year limit, so the newest Metrocabs were gone by around 1997-98, some even got repainted in Jeff Kennett's yellow taxi livery. There was indeed an earlier Camry, sold in lift back form between 1983 and 1987, ceased when the 1st locally made Camry's went down the...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I remember there was a batch of London type cabs in Melbourne, can't remember what the model was called, but they were repowered with Commodore 3.8L V6 engines converted to LPG, was late 80's early 90's and last one retired in about 1997. They were sort of SUV like.

It is actually a Corolla 4WD Wagon, not a Camry.

Coles in Elsternwick has had people lining up since 4am for toilet rolls. Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

A terrible terrible reflection on typical Australians these days. Why do businesses continue to allow these greedy intensely selfish hoomans to buy unreasonable amounts when they know others will come in and buy up the stock anyway? They are in a position to refuse sales to individuals. In a furthe...
