Re: 20 years of volgren in NSW
Wasn't Nevilles Bus Service m/o 4666 B58 Volgren delivered in the 80's? That would have been the first in NSW. Also there was an Artic Volgren in Sydney too during the 80's

I can't believe they would have used an AOA bus on the 111!! I am sure someone wouldn't allow it today. Atleast it was red. 3289 as a hot tuna bus mmmm I thought something smelt last time I was driving it, now I know why

Re: {PTC / Bankstown Strathfield Bus Service} 3521 for "TAA727"
Great shots of a great bus leopard1543. That shot in the New Claridge 25's scheme reminds me of a Nevilles bus in the 70's that had the same AOA. It was used on our school bus once and everyones mum and dad complained about it. The rear was white with red and black wavy strips to look like the lit e...

Re: Mr & Mrs Whippy colour schemes
I think the Mercedes colour scheme might have been applied to 3520 at the same time that it was re-engined. I don't think either bus ever received a proper body overhaul as the body frame was mostly of highly non-standard extruded aluminium construction.Side panels were fibreglass. I think had they...

Mr & Mrs Whippy colour schemes
The two prototype DGT built buses 3520 and 3521 aka Mr and Mrs Whippy were delivered in green and cream colours. I know 3520 was repainted in the
Mk 2-3 Merc colours. Was either of them painted PTC blue and white? And if so does anyone have a photo they can post.
Thanks for any info

Re: Farewell to old Airporter Mk 6's
When I was still at Port we use to say the Orana 0405's ( which had 4(?) speed ZF's ) were mk 7's . So when the Gas things ( I refuse to call them buses ) came it was a natural thing to call them mk 8's :lol: . Either way those O 405 NH CNG or bloaters ( please don't edit that as it will ruin the po...

I didn't need an invite I started the thread
To go a step further;
Mk 2 & 3 would be PMC VoV's
Mk 1 would have to be PMC hybrid
As for any AEC decker ....... best left out to pasture
