Re: Hawkesbury Rail Bridge - Heritage

Who is NSW Trains to lock access to these areas of great historical interest, only allowing select employees to see them? Sydney Trains look after the maintenance of the network. NSW TrainLink just run services. You too could be one of the select employees who get to see the bridge. https://jobsnsw...

Do many members here have dashcams installed? I've got a VicoVation WF-1, and I love when it captures bad driving on the roads!

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

My local RMS office recently became a Service NSW centre. Before they changed over, there were massive stacks of all L and P plates that you could help yourself too, but now you have to go the welcome desk and ask for them. They gave me 4 P plates when I last went  I was impressed with this Hi...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

People that steal P plates - they're free at the RMS/Service NSW FFS! Even more annoying this weekend, as Fail to Display P plates carries 2 demerit points, and being double demerits, I could have lost my licence if I was pulled over by one of the 6 police cars I passed on the drive home. Lesson to ...

When you have a work meeting that runs late, making you have to then rush home and power walk to the station, only for the train to be 1 minute early, meaning you have to get on, hop off at the next main station, rush to buy a ticket and hope that the train is still there when you get back onto the ...

Re: *Opal Card INFRASTRUCTURE roll-out progress ONLY*

Readers installed at platform 1 at Gosford and concourse. The one on P1 is for people who enter station via the turnstile, however I think they should have put 2 in due to number of people that enter the station via that way. There was a small team of people finishing off the install yesterday (Tue...

Re: *Opal Card INFRASTRUCTURE roll-out progress ONLY*

The black "reader under test" stickers have been removed from the readers at Narara, Lisarow, Ourimbah and presumably Niagara Park stations and replaced with the Opal logo. The readers are now also turned on, but display closed on the screen. Perhaps a sign of Opal going live to Wyong shor...

I use the Sony NEX system, and currently own a NEX 5N and NEX 6. I find them perfect travel size cameras, that also allow the ability to use different lenses. My dad has a Sony RX-100, and its a seriously great camera. Its really portable and takes excellent photos too. Sony have their boxing day sa...

Opal readers noted at Ourimbah this morning, and also at Lisarow and Narara this afternoon, so presumably Niagara Park has been done too.

AND red P's only allowed to go 90kph because there are so many of them on the NSW roads you are forced to spend most of your time in the right lane with people who want to speed flashing you. I'm a red P plater, and I think its downright dangerous to be limited to 90. I recently drove as far north ...
