Re: WA Transport General Discussion & Questions

Any news on IVECO artic 3002 ?? I havn't seen it for a quite a while now and just discovered it's no longer registered It's still around (but off-traffic) as far as I am aware... The rego only expired a few days ago on the 30th so at a guess, they're waiting on parts to arrive from god-knows-where ...

Does it seriously matter? didn’t know it was a crime to post an observation 😒🤷🏽‍♀️
The whole point of these threads is to post new or unusual observations. B-sets on heritage lines is neither of those so no, it doesn't belong in this thread.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Aset 17 is now refurb 1427, 1429 have also been refurbished. Paths refurbishments are also completed then? 2012 is back so their 2000s are done, I saw 1410 back today as well, meaning 1411-13 for Morley and 1430-34 are left to do. It's possible they're all away at the moment being done, but I think...

Re: Interesting/Odd Buses

I can happily share some bits and pieces once I am home, later on. Squiddy, I wouldn't count the ex BCT stuff as they are pretty standard Private Operator Spec buses of that era and weren't new to the PTA/DOT etc.., but can share if you wish? Each to their own. I am sure some of the things you'll s...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Would love to see 7900s in Dolphin livery. The current Dolphins can be re-registered 0123-0126. I wouldn't think so, given that (a) Joondalup Depot is the only depot set to receive electric charging stations, and (b) the current Dolphins have been refurbished and kept their RCCTS fleet numbers and ...

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

Swan just seem to keep rolling in the new buses, which probably makes sense, given that they have the largest portion of currently active NHs (perthbus.info reading 70, making 64 excluding 1851-53 which haven't been seen for a while, 1824-25 which have been displaced from CATs by 2880-81, and 1352,...

Do they have special livery too? I'd take it that 1824 and 1825 are now in storage awaiting decommissioning.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2020

We haven't had any major bus fire in the last few years, which is a rather good sign. If 0109 is written off, it would be Path Transit's fourth OC500LE (and fifth vehicle) to be destroyed by fire. Surprisingly, Path hasn't been known to lose any vehicles to accidents. Swan Transit had 1313, 1564 an...

109 caught fire this afternoon in Ballajura. Given the pretty advanced age of this bus and the extent of the damage it's almost certainly a write-off.

First one looks better to me! I do wish they continued with that livery. Particularly with those later B8 artics... ie. 3096-98, and 3100-3102. They practically live on 950s and likely will for the foreseeable future, I don't really see why they couldn't implement a similar livery on these, other th...

It's nice to see more variety around Warwick/Stirling these days! Wish I could say the same for Joondalup itself, Joondalup/Wangara shifts account for almost everything that passes through there (though there are a small number of random Karrinyup shifts that venture that far North, hopefully this i...

I saw an unidentified NH with a blue engine hatch that had a sticker on the rear window that appeared to have the words "Covid-19 Snapshot" this morning on the freeway heading south. 1721 may be at Redcliffe as it was recently spotted on 935. Have 1719 and1720 been decommissioned? What about the 15xx in the western suburbs? Yeah, that ones at Redcliffe, though it doesn't go out much. 1719 and 1720 are in storage. I never say never... but I doubt we'll see them in service again....

update for May (correct if there are some wrong) (use squiddy style) Looks pretty good to me, the only corrections I can see: 2389, 2390 and 2758 are at Redcliffe now, and I think 2361 is Kalamunda's 2571 is at Canning Vale, 2829 is at Shenton Park. Speaking of Shenton Park... B7s/B8s up to 2843 or...

I swear 1362 is the last-ever NH to be built. Anyway, I believe there are about 10 such vehicles still doing their job in the Goldfields. What would replace them? B8s 2780-∞ or CR228 B7s 2300-10? 1590 was the last diesel NH for Perth (*at least if the Volgren body numbers are anything to go by). Th...

1566-68 are still in service in Morley. Those and the 1700s which should have been replaced by the recent B8 deliveries (yet are refusing to die off) are Paths only service NHs left.
