Re: Timetable Changes 2024,
In the Transport Info release last week, the list of route changes is rearranged with region 8 routes first and then route 14. Route 280 was placed after route 238 (region but before route 141 (region 14) which also suggests that the transfer maybe permanent?

Re: Timetable changes December 2022/2023
Today I saw a sign at Museum Station on Liverpool St that mentioned a permanent minor route change for route 440 to operate via Wentworth St. Nothing seems to be noted anywhere online about it? What will it do now? Not service Museum Station at all? There is a No Left Turn for vehicles over 9m from...

Re: Bus Observations 2023
Pardon me if I missed an earlier discussion about this, but has the Hunter Valley Buses brand been phased out in favour of CDC NSW? I cannot find any references to the Hunter Valley Buses branding on the CDC NSW website. In fact this news post ( https://cdcbus.com.au/cdc-nsw-hunter-valley-changes/ )...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
There is now finally a news item on the CDC website about region 14 now including region 12 https://cdcbus.com.au/welcome-to-cdc-nsw-mount-kuring-gai-depot/#more-4305 The wording in the news item is interesting. Awarded by the New South Wales Government, the new contracts are coming into effect on ...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
It's a shame it does not shown its other CDC NSW services such as 600 at Hornsby and the handful of region 4 routes in Macquarie Park and City etc. I've never been fond of the maps by operator concept as in this case here, but given the region 4 entity is technically separate (saw some buses with &...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
Transdev is not coming out of this very well. Obviously this covers region 10 but where does this leave region 5? Still be operated by Punchbowl or another operator or is it included in this announcement which does not seem to mention specific regions? But as said in the 743 post, the word "re...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
Don't forget about Busways in Region 1.
CDC only joined in in September 2005 when buying Westbus and Hillbus, just shortly after the contracts thing started. But if viewing CDC as a continuation of Hillsbus (which it kind of is), then CDC/Hillsbus in Region 4 would be another original operator.

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
Unknown at this stage but one would expect that to be announced any time now. I would expect those two regions to be combined but that is no certainty as the Transit Systems announcement does not appear to make any mention of 3 and 13 being combined. It also leaves the question of Metrobus routes M...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
With regions 3, 6 and 13 now technically touching each other, could Transit Systems theoretically have a crosscity route from City to Western Sydney Airport via Strathfield and Fairfield for example.

Just realised yesterday's CDC announcement coincides with the 10th anniversary of the awarding of regions 1, 3, 12 and 14. Coincidence or not?

Transition dates appear to be April 2023 for region 4 and May 2023 for regions 12/14. They will run for 8 and 7 years respectively.
