Philippines "new normal"

Hi everyone, Currently in the Philippines as the country enters General Community Quarantine from June 1, Bus companies are slowly restarting services under the "new normal". What this means is that companies that operate air conditioned buses are now changing their seating to 3 single seat rows. Th...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

Every bus in Sydney will have these as capacity is now limited on buses due to social distancing rules.

Re: Covid-19

Are companies still having full bus loads or have they restricted to only half capacity due to social distancing? As in 1 person per seat and half standing capacity.

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 20

Very misleading "sticker" poster.

Noone is "selling the buses".

There is no "privatising" the buses but only "franchising to private contractors".

If they are going to run a campaign against franchising the operations then they could atleast make it factual!

Train replacement buses at Penrith now operate from the Bus Interchange rather than the carpark side of the station and have done so since the last shutdown.

Re: Parramatta light rail

There is a 30 min T1 stopping pattern at Granville and Clyde, presumably to match the T6 connections. They could continue this but drop the Clyde stop. Granville will also have SIX T2 services per hour to the city. There is a 15 min T1 frequency from Granville and Clyde stations. Sent from my CPH17...

Re: NSW Railway Observations 2019

Saw B16 stabled at Penrith yesterday morning when I was on a V Set from the Blue Mountains to the City. I wonder if this means some B Sets might be timetabled on the T1 from 28 April. Not officially. B sets are officially timetabled for Sector 2 (T2, 3, 8), but if one of them appears in Sector 3 (T...

Use of turboprops on international flights

Hi all I was recently checking Flightradar24 on my phone and seen that Todays Philippine Airlines flight from Brisbane to Manila is a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. This flight is usually performed by an Airbus A321. The flight time is usually 7.5 hours for the 7,588km flight. The only other international ...

Spotted 3 stationlink buses on rail replacement duties at Blacktown this evening. Would have thought peak hour would’ve seen all available units on SL services.

Re: Private Observations - July to December 2018

There seems to be an issue in Blacktown where buses that go from the Bus Interchange over the bridge and into the Westpoint Bus Interchange are instead going to Sunnyholt rd and turning left into Third Ave and skipping Westpoint bus interchange.

They are connections for the Blue Mountains Line trains starting/terminating at Blacktown. I’m told some guards are allowing passengers for Penrith to stay on and opening the doors at Penrith. How would a regular passenger know the train even goes through Penrith? The H sets were displaying all the...
